You have been asked to create your own Terabithia based solely on your imagination. The final product will be combined using a program called snappy, once your Terabithia has been created, you will present it to the class. The creation of your imaginary world must have three sections:
1: To begin you are to brainstorm ideas you would like to include in your own Terabithia based on it visual features and the people included or allowed in it. Building on from your mindmap you will get the opportunity to record your ideas as a podcast, here you can include reasons why you wish to include these elements and why this place is special to you.
2:You are choose pictures, background anything that you want in your imaginary world. The pictures, sounds ect that feature in your Terabithia can be from wherever you choose as long you acknowledge the source in a bibliography. You must then upload your chosen items onto snappy and prepare to show it to the class along with your podcast. The feature article/scene must be handed in to the teacher along with the bibliography at the start of your presentation.
3: In your last task you are to write a speech as rulers of your new world, indicating what type of leader you will be and what shorts of situations will occur in your world. Will it be a peaceful place to spend time, will there be exciting battles and what other people will be included? The idea is to promote your world and use language to inspire and motivate.
To successfully complete this task, it would be wise to check out the marking criteria in the assessment part of the web quest.
